Dogs On Go is a family run business, founded by Lyndsey. We are based in Hoghton, Preston and cover the surrounding areas.
After 20 years in Childcare I have changed my career towards my passion of animals focusing my attention on establishing Dogs On Go, to provide Dog walking services and home visits for your pets. I provide a reliable, trustworthy, friendly and honest service to our customers.
We provide a range of services, tailored to meet your individual needs, we strive to provide the care and attention all customers would expect. We will offer a full initial consultation, free of charge, to discuss your needs and requirements, getting to know your Dog or Puppy and an accompanied walk with yourself will be provided.
As Dog owners ourselves we understand the importance of the pets in our lives and how much they mean to us, knowing how hectic a busy life can become. With an understanding that whilst we all wish we could spend every minute of the day with our beloved Furbabies, that is simply not always possible. Dogs On Go therefore wish to provide your Dogs and Puppies with the extra love and attention, stimulation and fun, exercise and socialization they require whilst life takes on those extra demands of work or you simply need a day away.
We will only walk Dogs on group walks of up to four at a time. All Dogs will be cleaned and dried before we return them to your home and will be transported safely in our vehicles.
More About Me
I am Lyndsey the founder of Dogs On Go, after 20 years in the childcare industry I decided to turn my attention towards my passion for animals, specifically Dogs. Growing up my career was always going to be in working with animals or the education sector, as you will have guessed it turned out I would spend many years working in Early years education in a career I loved, whilst my love for Animals remained, it took a backwards step.
I am the proud owner of a beautiful 8 year old Rottweiler who is the inspiration behind my business. I have trained my girl to The Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme ~ Bronze Award before we had to finish at our training class due to an injured cruciate ligament. I am proud to say with a lot of patience and time she fully healed from this and the inevitable second cruciate ligament injury without the need for operation, thanks to the wonderful advise of a trusted vet. My Rottweiler is out walking with me daily and we love our walks together in the open countryside, she will always be walked separately from clients dogs so we can enjoy our quality time together.
As I was growing up I spent several years volunteering after school at Thelma Ridings Cattery, helping to feed and clean out cages of all Cats and Kittens, playing with them and giving cuddles until they where adopted out. I also helped fund raising to raise much needed finance to provide care for them.
I have a strong belief in the benefits of personal development and training and will always strive to learn more in my industry and attend regular training as necessary – you can never know too much. Believing this along with many other qualities will ensure the best care is provided for your pets.
I have completed a Dog walking Course which includes First Aid , Animal Psychology and Dog behaviour and Training. I will seek to take further training as and where necessary.
Dogs On Go is fully insured and we are DBS checked.
